Looking back to the very start of construction at Biggleswade Station, it’s powerful to see just how far this project has come.

What began as a challenging, live-environment construction programme has now become a fully delivered Access for All upgrade that will make a real difference to passengers every single day. From early groundworks and structural planning through to the final installations, every phase required care, coordination and a shared commitment to improving accessibility.

Delivered on behalf of Network Rail, the completed scheme now includes two new 16-person lifts, a brand-new footbridge, step-free access from the forecourt, platform improvements with tactile paving, and upgraded lighting, CCTV and passenger information systems.

Projects like this are about more than infrastructure. They are about people. Seeing the station transformed and celebrated last week was a proud moment for everyone involved, and a reminder of why these upgrades matter to the community.

A great example of collaboration, patience and purpose from start to finish.
